Architecture:
Organising functionality and content into an
information structure that people are able to navigate
intuitively; aascertaining
and organizing information into a coherent pattern that clarifies
its nature and interactions; determining the content and
functionality information will contain.
Technology Planning:
Developing an integrated planning for
technological innovations, information software, hardware, network
applications, internet sites, web development and intranet
portals. Analyzing workflow and recommending technology solutions
to increase efficiency, productivity and customer satisfaction.
Identifying personnel and level of expertise, and budget
requirements for technology integration to the daily function of
archives and museum centers.
Strategic Planning:
Developing
variety of strategic planning models, including goals-based,
issues-based, and organization's mission planning. Conducting
strategic analysis, setting strategic directions,
developing/updating mission and vision statements, facilitating
communication and creating action planning for objectives
responsibilities and timelines.
Facilities Planning:
New Buildings; Reorganization; Renovation. Interpreting the
community's vision of their archives and museums; developing physical spaces
that actively support and interact with the different modes of
learning; maximizing efficiency, productivity and cost; strategic
designs for enhancing operations, services and communities.
Needs Assessment:
Gathering and analyzing data for integrated information and
personnel resources, management and collection development.
Conduct an analysis of focus groups and open forums; building
consensus and developing action plans based on the needs and
strengths of the organization.
Work Flow Analysis:
Analyzing methods and processes for improving work flow analysis
in all archives and museum organizational structure and operations.
Working directly with the organization's
leadership, the management and staff to present the
analysis, and provide assistance with implementation. Develop an
overall description of current practices, flow chart analysis,
proposed solutions, and recommendations based on best practices
and professional trends.
Surveys:
Using rigorous survey designs and sampling techniques for
statistically valid results, develop questioners , administer and
analyze data for communities, users, focus group, collection
development, technology surveys.
Disaster Planning:
Developing comprehensive plans for disaster
preparedness, prevention and rehabilitation/recovery; identifying
risks, setting priorities, executing a written plan for
museums and archives.
Archives & Preservation:
Developing strategies and planning for the preservation, and
management of Archival and Special Collections. Advising on
climate stabilization, level of preservation and conservation
tailored to the needs of collections and institutions. Creating
training manuals and train staff in proper care and handling of
materials.
Digitization: Developing strategies and planning for
identifying collections for digitization. Designing processes for
digital projects, recommend appropriate technology for digital
initiatives , design metadata and provide staff training.
